Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Semillon is consistently one of the Barossa's most outstanding varieties producing both richly flavoured wooded styles and fresh, fruit driven non-wooded wines.
The St Hallett Semillon Sauvignon Blanc falls into the latter category. Here we have taken ripe, full flavoured, textured Semillon as our base and blended with this early picked, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc. The resultant wine is lifted and herbaceous on the nose leading into a richly flavoured palate, backed by fresh, crisp acidity.
A great seafood wine, the Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is ideal with warm salads of chargrilled octopus, prawns and calamari. This wine cannot be beaten when served well chilled with freshly grilled fish, a wedge of lemon and thin, lightly salted fries.
